Fortnite is just about the most popular video game in the world right now. Everyone is playing it, making it so difficult to actually win a game. No matter how hard you try, it always seems as though someone can read your mind and is ready waiting to shoot you and end your turn. You won’t have to worry about that any longer with these life-saving tips and tricks for Fortnite.
Slow down
The temptation when you first parachute into the map is to run around like crazy and try to pick up as many weapons as possible. This is when you’re most likely to be taken out as someone will either beat you to the weapon, or you’ll run straight into danger.
The best thing to do is to get your bearings and make your way from cover to cover as you progress through the map. That way, you won’t be a sitting duck and give people an easy shot. Plus if you actually do need to use your own weapon, it takes too long to stop sprinting around and aim before the other person gets your first.
Use headphones
If you play Fortnite on your television, then try switching from the main speaker to your headphones. It will change how you play the game because you will actually be able to hear people coming better. Not only that, but you’ll also have a much better idea of where they are coming from, meaning they will find it tougher to get the jump on you. Listening is critical, especially when the number of competitors dwindles down to single digits, and every shot counts.
Don’t save the potions
It can be tempting to save shield potions for a time when you think you’re really going to need it. The chances are you already need it, and it’s better to be at full protection without a potion than at half with a potion in your inventory, but one shot will take you out.
Don’t store up the potions and just use them when you get them to make sure you make it all the way to the end. Landing in an area with other players is the perfect time to drink down those potions and tough it out in your first mini battle of a new game.
Consider the odds
The chances are if you engage in battle, your game is coming to a premature end. Instead, only engage with people if you are almost certain you are going to beat them in a shootout. The problem with starting firefights in Fortnite is there are so many other people around that the sound of shooting will attract them. It’s best to take someone out with a few well-placed shots using some level of stealth rather than going all guns blazing. Heroes don’t tend to finish first in Fortnite.
Where to land?
If you are a beginner to the series then when it comes to the landing at the beginning of a battle royale, the best thing you can do is avoid the built-up areas. There is going to be a lot of people congregating around there, and if you’re not on their level yet, they’ll probably blow you away.
Instead, you want to head to the quieter regions and start your game from there. That way you won’t immediately be taken out, and it gives you a chance to actually play the game before you’re parachuting in for another go.
Although it might look cute, Fortnite is a tough game to master. These tips and tricks will help you become a better player of the video game and help you get closer to finally finishing as the winner of a battle royale.
