Some members of the press were invited into Woodstock to capture the atmosphere and report on the festival. Here, they were able to capture some incredible moments in time. Some of the snaps have gone down in the history books.
These photos also had another use as they helped archeologists as they try to figure out how Woodstock was laid out. Sadly, there aren’t enough photos of the grounds as a whole to show how everyone got around and where they were headed.
