Although it’s not hard to lie on the internet, it’s also not hard for someone to figure out that you’re lying. That’s because everything can be traced back to its original poster – which is not good for the person lying.
The person who posted this probably just wanted to show off the fact that they were living the good life – even if they didn’t actually have a girlfriend – so they decided to steal some images of another woman and pass her off as his girlfriend. It didn’t quite work.
