The mom looked at her son, who was visibly uncomfortable by the request. Even the bride and groom were cringing from the man’s request. She stood up and told the stranger in a no-nonsense tone of voice that her son will remain seated exactly where she had booked his seat.
He was just ten years old, for crying out loud. Sure, she could sympathize with the newlywed couple, but that was irrelevant when her son’s safety and wellbeing came into play. To think otherwise was a downright ludicrous expectation.
