When her father, George VI, took the throne, young Elizabeth had a very different place in the world. From ten years of age, she was prepped and preened to become an important member of society.
Elizabeth was given the best education, the most attention, and the best training everyone could offer her. When she came into power, and throughout her reign, she hasn’t only proven that the training paid off, but that she is a likable monarch as well. She has succeeded in leading the country, and many people are scared for the day she is no longer the Queen. However, it looks as though she is prepared.
