On the flip side, you have some people who never even get to know any of their neighbors. These isolated residents prefer to keep to themselves, maybe because they’re socially anxious, or they simply aren’t interested in becoming friends.
This is something more commonly found in apartment buildings where you don’t see people as often as if you lived in a suburban neighborhood. Plus, there are typically so many residents in these places that getting to know each and every one of them often requires more effort than it’s worth.
