Physical divides between neighbors are something that is often hotly debated in neighborhoods, and whether they work depends on the people involved. Not everyone loves being stopped for a conversation every time they enter or leave their house.
A fence establishes a disconnect between the two properties, especially when it’s a tall one, and gives some people the personal space they need. However, if two neighbors get along and enjoy the friendly atmosphere that comes from these casual conversations, a barrier doesn’t serve much of a purpose.
