Starring in a handful of hit movies, winning an Oscar, and walking down the aisle in Alec Baldwin – it seems as though the world was once Kim Basinger’s oyster as she grew to the height of fame. That was until financial struggles struck.
Kim once invested in a town in Georgia as she hoped to create a tourism hub. However, Kim later rejected a starring film role and was forced to sell her portion of the town for $1 million compared to the $20 she paid, and eventually filed as bankrupt in 1983.
