Unless this guy is teaching an advanced course in naps, we don’t think this is cool at all. Sure, some students will savor the lack of supervision at first. But eventually most of them will realize this blatant sign of disrespect basically announces to the class (via snores, perhaps): “My needs are more important.”
More important than their needs (and safety for that matter), than the job obligations he signed up for, and even more than anyone’s right to learn… No, you go ahead Dr. Deep-sleep. We’ll just be here teaching ourselves then.
