The thing about marking up papers in red ink is that the pigment is intentionally loud — it’s basically the caplock shouts of handwriting. Here, we see some over-confident, over-explained markups from the grader. But did we mention this teacher’s arrogantly underlined solution is actually wrong? Let’s break it down…
One board becomes two with one cut, which (somehow) took Marie 10 minutes. One board becomes three with two cuts. Two cuts at 10 minutes each is 20 minutes. Seriously though, is Marie using a butter knife to scratch through these boards so slowly?
