Okay, just to head off anyone who’s already wording their furious letter to the Secretary of Education, this was an honest mistake. The teacher was writing end-of-year notes to each one of her students, and she was just exhausted.
And when you do stuff when you’re exhausted, mistakes happen. So instead of leaving her student with the uplifting message of “Never think what you have to offer is insignificant,” they conveyed the exact opposite message. Crying James Van Der Beek on the left there seems oddly fitting now…
