One of the stories brought forward during the school board meeting was that of 13-year-old Amaya Neal, who says she was pulled out of class multiple times during the first week of school because of the dress code violations.
“The dress code is outdated and needs to be changed,” Amaya said, adding that it needs to fit modern reality. Also, she feels like it’s time to empower women so they can speak out about the policies that are created. Girl power!
