Kristy McNichol was a fixture of seventies TV for most of the decade. From 1974 to 1975, she played the role of Patricia Apple in the TV show ‘Apple’s Way’, and from 1976 to 1980 she played the role of Letitia Lawrence in the show ‘Family’. She also made appearances in shows like ‘Starsky and Hutch’ and ‘The Bionic Woman’.

In 2001, McNichols retired from acting to recuperate from years of hectic fame. She started teaching acting in 2012, and also partakes in a lot of charity work.
