As to the conclusion of his father’s court battle against his mother, Joel – who seemed mature beyond his years – said that Kate paying Richard back $325,000 was a “fair deal.”
Both of his parents’ arguments were “compelling,” he added, and he could see how each perspective could be found to have merit. Luckily, Kate had invested some of the money she got in the divorce into a property to ensure her sons could live comfortably, and Joel was grateful for that.
