One of the most enduring figures of 60s counterculture, Jim Morrison has been an American icon for decades, staring out from millions of posters on bedroom walls. Morrison was the lead singer of rock band ‘The Doors’, and his poetic lyrics and distinctive voice helped provide a soundtrack to the tumult of the 60s.
This is one of several photos taken of Morrison on June 28, 1971, during a trip to Paris with girlfriend Pamela Courson, and their friend Alain Ronay.
