Saying “I love you” to someone is kind of a big deal, no matter who you say it to. Whether you’re confessing your love to your romantic partner, your friends, or your family, most people say this because they know that they will receive the same compliment back.

Unfortunately, it seems as though this dad just isn’t about that emotional life, and would rather thank his daughter for loving him rather than saying he loves her back. People are pretty strange, but they’re also pretty awesome.
