You’ve gotta love the older generation, right? There’s something about being older that makes you feel much wiser, and it also makes you feel as though you can joke at the expense of someone who is younger than you.
We found out my wife was pregnant,
I said to my Dad: "I can't wait to teach them everything I know."

We have a feeling that this soon-to-be grandfather felt exactly like that when they discovered that their son was having a baby. After all, they needed to get their son ready for the harsh truths that their child would eventually come out with.
