Carlina was excited to be reunited at last with her biological parents, but sadly her dream of being welcomed into a loving home were squashed. After linking back up with them when she was older, her attorney advised her to question them about the money they received as a settlement from the hospital.
They earned $750,000 in the case but noted that they had already spent a portion of the money and put the rest into a trust fund that Carlina could only have had if she was found before she was 21 years old.
