As the years went by, Steve Jr. continued to grow up and continued to look less and less Hawaiian. In fact, his adoptive parents and those within his family couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that they had been told that his father was Hawaiian because there was no hint of it in his appearance.
Instead of shying away from the fact that they did not conceive him themselves, Pat and Steve vowed to be as open as honest with their son as possible. So, he knew that he was adopted, and he knew that his past was a little blurry.
