When Ash believes that her makeup skills are on point, she finds that she feels less accepted by the world. She has noted that almost nobody approaches her when she has foundation, mascara, and lipstick on and that people believe her to be intimidating – even though she’s exactly the same person she is when she’s not wearing makeup.
Although Ash doesn’t believe that she looks too different when she’s not wearing makeup, she’s found that people still stare at her sometimes, but they mostly treat her just like anyone else. In her eyes, it’s “much more peaceful.”
